Good Apples is a media and production company founded in 2023 by Kate Hynes and Kerrin McNeil.

Kerrin McNeil
co-founder
Kerrin is a producer and media executive with extensive experience across creative and commercial roles spanning television, film, digital media, VR and audio.
Kerrin has worked with many of Australia’s leading and emerging screenwriters and led acquisition and development of high-profile IP for market partners in Australia and internationally.
She held senior roles at Hoodlum Entertainment for ten years, working across 70 hrs of primetime scripted television and on the company’s award-winning digital projects.
Kerrin is passionate about the power of story to affect real world change.
Kate is one of Queensland’s leading private sector screen executives. With over 20 years experience, she’s worked with many of Australia's leading companies and individuals working in screen today. And she has garnered more than 70 film and television credits and an extensive knowledge of screen financing, distribution and production.
She is deputy chair of Trade and Investment Queensland, where she employs her understanding of the knowledge industries to help exporters take their products to world markets and promoting Queensland as the perfect place for investment.
A graduate of the University of Queensland, QUT Law School and UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television. Kate explores themes of selfhood and the challenges of modern community through her screen writing.

Rae Choi

Rae Choi is an AWGIE and SPA nominated writer, director and producer with a background in intellectual property law. As a producer, her films span short and long form including an independent feature film shot on 16mm in Australia, Italy and France.
Rae is a 2023 recipient of Screen Australia's Enterprise program and recently joined Good Apples Pictures as development producer.
Devoted to holding space for stories from communities she connects with, Rae was named on the Asian Australian Alliance x Being Asian Australian 2022 list of most impactful Asian Australians.
